You can install the probe anywhere and it will help you detect water leaks before it turns into serious flooding. If the water sensor is triggered, a 90 dB alarm will sound and an LED will blink to give you audio and visual warnings. Push notifications to your mobile device let you keep tabs on your home on the go. You can also receive audio alerts from the Google Assistant so that you can know about a water leak even if you are too far away to hear the alarm on the water sensor.
Make your home life easier by setting up home automation with mydlink™ combination actions. Turn a light on automatically when a flood is detected and send an alert to your mobile phone. D-Link's mydlink Wi-Fi Water Sensor (DCH-S160) lets you know when water damage is imminent by sending a push notification to your smartphone, but its alarm should be louder. The DCH-S160 contains two internal antennas and 802.11g/n wireless circuitry that connects to your home Wi-Fi router. It has an RG11 port on the side that connects to an included 3.2-foot RJ11 cable that has a dongle that attaches to the included 1.6-foot water-sensing cable. The water-sensing cable must make contact with the floor, so if the included RJ11 cable is too short you can use any RJ11 phone cable to extend its reach.
